Where We Are Map
We are a congregation of Christians striving to be obedient to " the whole counsel of God" (Acts 20:27). We are determined to "speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent; to call Bible things by Bible names and do Bible things in Bible ways."
The Bible is our only creed, and clearly tells us that man is unable to "direct his own steps" (Jer. 10:23). The Bible is God's will divinely revealed to man (Heb. 1:1-2; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17). God's will is simple and can be understood and must be obeyed (2 Tim. 2:15; Eph. 3:3-5; 5:17; Matt. 7:21-23).
We encourage you to open your Bible, read it, study it, meditate upon it and obey it! Please contact us if we can be of help in your study of the Bible. We hope this web site provides you quality Bible study material and information so that you can learn God's will. If you have a Bible question or need additional information, please let us know. Come visit us at 514 McKinley, Warrenton MO 63383.
We do not ask for your money. A collection is taken only on the first day of the week (1 Corinthians 16:1,2). This is the responsibility of our members.
A brief history:
The first worship services were in April 1956, in the American Legion Hall located on Highway 47 which has since been torn down and a Sinclair service station sits on the property just north of Interstate 70. The church continued to meet there until July 1956. Then they moved to a hall above what was then called the Clover Farm Store on Main Street and later an A&G supermarket opened at that location. The church continued to meet there until June 1961. Property was obtained at the present location of McKinley and East Flora in 1961. A basement for the new building was poured and prepared suitable for use as a meeting place until April 1965 when the new building was completed. It started with six members and several men drove from St. Charles, and St Louis County's in east central Missouri to do the preaching in those first few years.
