WHAT SAVES MAN

Gods word, [the bible] Lists several things that saves man,, This is in opposition to what most religious sects teach today.. I use the word sects instead of church so as not to confuse you with the Lords church and the teaching it does from the word of God only. [ the bible]

 

GRACE...Eph 2:5~ even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ

(by grace you have been saved),..

 

MERCY... Tit 3:5— not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,1 Pet 1:3— Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

 

DEATH... Rom 5:10— For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

 

LIFE... Same location, Rom 5:10

 

HOPE... Rom 8:24— For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why

 

WORDS... Acts 11:14-- 'who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.'

 

BLOOD... Rom 5:9--Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

 

WORKS... Phil 2:12-- Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

JA 2:21 & 24-- Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 24.. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

 

BELIEF... Acts 16:31— So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

 

"REPENTANCE... ACTS 17:30--Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

 

CONFESSION... Rom 10:9-10— that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

 

BAPTISM... I Pet 3:21-- There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

 

People, all spiritual Blessings are IN CHRIST... Eternal life being the main one .. Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

BUT how does a person get "INTO CHRIST" God says in Romans 6:3-4

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

 

IN DOING ALL the these things a person has obeyed God.

The first and foremost command of God is to love him above all MK 12:30 'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.'

How do we know if we love God properly,, He tells us in John 14;15-1

"If you love Me, keep My commandments.

verse 23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

verse 24 "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.

 

OBEDIENCE is what saves a person., he must do ALL that God commands

 

GODS PLAN OF SALVATION IS..-

 

HEAR... Rom 10:14— How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

 

BELIEVE... Jn 8:24— "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."

BE BAPTIZED... Acts 2:38— Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and lei every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For an erring child of God to be restored into fellowship with God, They must turn from their error and pray for forgiveness..

 

Acts 8:22 says

"Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
